Medieval Derbyshire pottery jug, late 14th, early 15th century

The fabric is similar to Midland Purple Ware and the form similar to jugs made at the Burley Hill north of Derby.

Height: 4 ⅝”

Condition: One chip to the rim though there are four holes drilled through the body after firing. I should think that they were drilled not long after it was made and they probably had a purpose though I do not know what
