Small lustre pottery Queen Caroline commemorative jug, circa 1821

The verse on the reverse “Long Live Caroline Queen of England” has reference to the Green Bag, and her Reform supporters. The Green Bags were presented to parliament containing evidence of Caroline’s adultery with Bartolomeo Pergami in an attempt by George IV and his supporters to annul his marriage to Caroline through a bill in Parliament.
