Pearlware pottery plate decorated with a print made for the Cuban market, circa 1820, Adams Pottery, Staffordshire

This plate has a back stamp used for products sold into the US market with an American eagle. Possibly a retailer in the States had outlets for ceramics in South American countries. “El Ampere de Cuba” translates to the protector of Cuba and the print is based on the allegorical figure of Charity.
