This bowl was Exhibited by Jonathan Horne in his March 1985 Catalogue “A Collection of Early English Pottery” part 5 No. 110 where he describes it as “An unrecorded delftware ‘tulip’ bowl, the underside lead-glazed. Late 17th century Bristol. The only other recorded bowl of this type, but with ‘pomegranate’ decoration, is in the Robert Hall Warren Collection (English Delftware Pottery-Ray, plate 5).
