Commemorative creamware pottery jug with Britannia mourning the death of Admiral Nelson, circa 1805

The use of a print on one side of their jug of a ship carrying the American flag together with the glazed over chip to the base gives truth to the fact that pieces morning the death of Nelson were rushed into production to capture the market after Trafalgar.

Height: 8 ΒΌ”

Condition: End of the spout restored and two very faint hairlines to the rim unrestored
