Pearlware pottery teapot decorated with colours under the glaze, dated 1798

According to a note inside “Tea pot given to the late Mrs. C. Wilson in about 1914 by a Mrs.Bailey of the Cottage by Middlewood Tavern. The “B” in the initials is for Bailey. There is also reference to a Midhope Pottery that is wrong as the potteries here were 17th century to early 18th producing mainly slipware on a red body.
