It was formally revived in 1831 after a period of inactivity and was trained as lancers before being amalgamated with another troop to form the West Suffolk Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry in 1868.<button tabindex=\"0\" data-amic=\"true\" data-icl-uuid=\"fe2ae1a7-ef84-4227-b213-01f5d339c427\" aria-label=\"View related links\" data-wiz-attrbind=\"disabled=cXt6Ye_d_C5gNJc;class=cXt6Ye_d_UpSNec;\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwjp7YLS8ZKRAxWWdUEAHTqTCosQye0OegQIARAD\"><\/button> The &#8220;Loyal Suffolk Yeomanry&#8221; was formed in 1794 as a response to the French Revolution. Disbandment and Revival: After being reduced and eventually formally disbanded in 1827 due to government funding cuts, it was revived in 1831 as the Suffolk (1st Loyal Suffolk) Troop of Yeomanry Cavalry. Transformation: In 1868, it merged with another troop to become the West Suffolk Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry. It was converted to Hussars in 1872 and later adopted the title &#8220;Loyal Suffolk Hussars&#8221; in 1883.
